Launch of the UNTWIST project

Funded under the European Horizon 2020 Programme, the aim of UNTWIST is to provide in-depth, systems-based knowledge on the key mechanisms underlying crop stress tolerance strategies in adverse environments, develop accurate models for crop yield prediction and identify indicative markers of crop performance under stress conditions. In the long term, this will improve crop resilience and yield stability in changing and challenging climates and contribute to increasing the overall sustainability of European agriculture.

Led by AIT (Austrian Institute for Technology) the project involves 7 partners from 6 European countries who will work together for 5 years. The project budget is €4.9 million.
