15 projects approved under INTERREG calls in 2023

2023 was the year in which the first calls for the majority of the European Territorial Cooperation programmes (INTERREG) of the new programming period 2021-2027 were opened, with notable success for INICIATIVAS INNOVADORAS: 15 projects approved corresponding to the ATLANTIC AREA, EUROPE, POCTEFA and SUDOE Programmes and an ERDF return of more than 16 million euros. A total of 109 entities from 10 countries (Spain, France, Portugal, Andorra, Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, Austria, Finland and Slovenia) are participating in these projects.

Our experience allows us to work on projects with very different themes: artificial intelligence and languages; social economy; circularity in port activities and agri-food processes; local energy communities; phosphate reduction in agricultural soils; training in traditional wood construction; monitoring of antibiotics in wastewater; new surface treatments or prevention of loneliness.

New opportunities in 2024

In 2024 new calls are planned for the INTERREG POCTEFA (Functional Areas and 2nd ordinary call), ATLANTIC AREA (2nd call), EUROPE (3rd call) and SUDOE (2nd call) programmes. We are already working with some of our clients on new projects to address new challenges of interregional cooperation.
