2023 marked the launch of the first calls for most European Territorial Cooperation (INTERREG) programs under the new 2021–2027 programming period, and it ended with notable success for INICIATIVAS INNOVADORAS: 15 approved projects under the ATLANTIC AREA, EUROPE, POCTEFA, and SUDOE programs, with an ERDF return of over 16 million euros. These projects involve a total of 109 entities from 10 countries (Spain, France, Portugal, Andorra, Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, Austria, Finland, and Slovenia).
Our experience allows us to work on projects across a wide range of themes: artificial intelligence and languages; social economy; circularity in port activities and agri-food processes; local energy communities; phosphate reduction in agricultural soils; training in traditional wooden construction; monitoring of antibiotics in wastewater; new surface treatments; and loneliness prevention.

New Opportunities in 2024
New calls are expected in 2024 for the INTERREG POCTEFA programs (Functional Areas and 2nd ordinary call), ATLANTIC AREA (2nd call), EUROPE (3rd call), and SUDOE (2nd call). We are already working with some of our clients on new projects to tackle emerging interregional cooperation challenges.
