On April 17 and 18, part of the Iniciativas Innovadoras team participated in the presentation seminar for the 2nd Call for Projects of the Interreg Sudoe Program, held in Santander. This territorial cooperation program, Interreg VI-B Southwestern Europe, covers the geographical area of Spain, Portugal, the Principality of Andorra, and southern France (including the regions of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Occitanie, and the former Auvergne region). Its second call was launched on February 26, 2024.
This is a two-phase competitive call for projects, with the first phase closing on May 31. The call has a budget allocation of €53.7 million in ERDF funds and is open to all specific objectives under priorities 1, 2, and 3.
The first day of the seminar focused on the presentation of potential project ideas by their promoters, aiming to find partners and complete consortia. A total of 36 ideas were presented, aligned with the program’s three priorities. The day also offered valuable networking opportunities to establish new connections.
On the second day, the Joint Secretariat and National Authorities explained the eligibility and admissibility criteria for applications, and provided guidance to refine and align project ideas, as well as an overview of key financial aspects.
Transnationality, value chain, intervention logic, territoriality, output and result indicators—these are some of the key concepts to be addressed in drafting the upcoming project proposals.
